Police say an inmate died Monday morning at the Nassau County Jail in East Meadow.
When medics arrived at the jail, they found a 63-year-old male inmate wasn't breathing.
They began treating him, but he couldn't be saved.
The inmate's name has not been released. The cause of death is unclear at this time.
