Easton police say they have identified the two people who were found dead inside a car in a pond on Sunday.

The victims have been identified as Easton’s Jesus M. Roman and Newtown’s Amy L. Rockwell.

Officials say that Roman, 35, was the driver and Rockwell, 45, was the passenger.

Police were notified just after 6:30 a.m. that a car was in the water near the intersection of Route 59 and Church Road.

Investigators are still working to determine the cause of death.
