Suffolk County officials announced a new type of scam on Long Island, involving bank cards.

They say thieves contacted the victims, picked up their bank cards, asked for their PINS and used them at ATMS.

In two bank card scams announced on Friday, the scammers asked to destroy the person's bank card, and said they needed their PIN to do so. In one of those instances, they made off with more than $4,000.

Police have released images of the suspects and are asking anyone who recognizes them to reach out.
