A man was killed in a Dix Hills crash on Friday, police say.
It happened around 9 a.m. when the man was driving a Mazda northbound on Commack Road, police say. The Mazda veered into the southbound lanes and struck a tractor-trailer.
Police say the driver of the Mazda was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity is being withheld pending notification of kin.
The driver of the tractor-trailer was treated and released from Good Samaritan University in West Islip.
