A Hempstead man is facing 25 years to life behind bars for an alleged murder that happened in April.

Police say Oumar Barry, along with a 16-year-old boy, shot two women on Polk Avenue in Hempstead.

Officers found the victims after ShotSpotter alerted them to the gunfire. One of the women died from her injuries.

The teen was also indicted and arraigned on the same charges.

Barry is also an alleged leader of the Blood Hound Brims gang.
