Police: Farmingville man arrested in fatal Centereach crash for driving high on drugs

A Farmingville man has been arrested after police say he was involved in a deadly crash in Centereach while driving high.
Police say 39-year-old Christopher Guzman was driving on Middle Country Road when he hit the side of a car heading east and then drove off.
A short distance later, Guzman allegedly hit another vehicle, a Ford Escape, driven by Stacy Carpenter.
Carpenter’s 21-year-old nephew, Timothy Carpenter, was killed.
Stacy Carpenter and the driver of the first car hit were both taken to the hospital.
Guzman was taken to the hospital and is being charged with driving while ability impaired by drugs.
