A man is facing charges for attacking two officers while being arrested for DWI Friday morning in Valley Stream, according to police.

Authorities say officers responded to a call reporting a driver blocking traffic on Hendrickson Avenue.

They say Gurvinder Singh had bloodshot eyes and smelled of alcohol.

While attempting to make the arrest, police say he became violent and resisted.

The two officers were hospitalized for treatment.
