Police are searching for the driver accused in a hit-and-run in Sound Beach.

News 12 has been told a woman was hit by a silver Toyota Corolla around 10 p.m. on Sept. 12.

Police say the vehicle took off northbound on Sound Beach Boulevard and has front right-side damage.

Anyone with information is asked to call police.
