Police: Driver overdoses on heroin, crashes in Melville

Police say a driver from Commack is accused of overdosing on heroin while behind the wheel and causing a crash. The incident happened on Broadhollow Road last night.  According to police, Michael

Police say a driver from Commack is accused of overdosing on heroin while behind the wheel and causing a crash.
The incident happened on Broadhollow Road last night. 
According to police, Michael Amico allegedly lost consciousness and crashed into a fire hydrant.
Police say that hydrant broke loose and hit another vehicle carrying a mom and her two kids. They weren't hurt.
News 12 has been told Amico had to be revived with Narcan.
Amico is charged with driving while ability impaired by drugs.
