A Suffolk County man was charged with criminal contempt, burglary and criminal mischief on Tuesday, police say.
Suffolk County police tell News 12 that John Comple violated an order of protection by going into an apartment and spray-painting it.
Police are investigating if Comple is the same person who was caught on home security camera looking into homes in the Smithtown neighborhood over the weekend.
Comple has been arrested several times for incidents that took place around the area, including damaging a fence with a saw and stealing Halloween decorations from more than one home.
In addition to surveillance video showing a stranger caught looking into a house over the weekend, new home security video of a similar incident outside another home in the neighborhood was released on Tuesday. It was recorded just before 6:30 a.m. Friday.
In both incidents, neighbors say they saw a man on a bicycle going through mail on their home security cameras.
It is unclear if the person in the new video is the same person from the video shown on Monday.
Neighbors tell News 12 they want whoever is terrorizing their neighborhood to stop
