A Deer Park teen is now facing criminal charges over bringing a BB gun to school on Thursday, according to police.
Police say the student brought the weapon to Robert Frost Middle School and made threatening remarks.
The school’s superintendent says a classmate reported the student to school officials.
No credible threat was found.
The teen’s identity is being withheld due to his age, but police say they are charging him with aggravated threat of mass harm.
A police presence is expected to be back on campus on Friday.
