A Plainview man was arrested yesterday for allegedly trying to fill a forged prescription at a local pharmacy.

Police say David Gold went to the CVS on Old Country Road in Plainview and gave the pharmacist a prescription from a local hospital for 110 Percocet pills.

The pharmacist determined the prescription was altered and called police.

Gold was charged with second-degree criminal possession of a forged instrument.
