A husband and wife from Baldwin are both facing DWI charges following a crash on Friday.
New York State Police say a trooper witnessed a two-car crash on Grand Avenue in Baldwin. They say a car occupied by Sean Magner, 41, and wife, Colleen Magner, 38, struck a pickup truck and fled the scene. Sean Magner was later stopped and found to be under the influence of alcohol, police say.
According to witnesses, a female later identified as Colleen Magner was driving at the time of the crash. She was found at a nearby Walgreens pharmacy. Police say she admitted to driving when the pickup was stuck. They say the couple also hit a light pole in the Walgreens parking lot.
Investigators say Colleen Magner tested for a blood-alcohol level three times the legal limit. She was charged with aggravated DWI, leaving the scene of an accident and other violations. She is due back in court May 5.
Sean Magner was charged with felony DWI and traffic violations. Police say he has three prior DWI convictions.
