A Copiague man has been arrested for hitting and seriously injuring a motorcyclist while allegedly driving drunk in Lindenhurst.
Police say John Ray, 53, was driving on Montauk Highway around 6:30 p.m. Thursday when he tried to turn onto South Walnut Street and collided with the motorcycle.
The motorcyclist, 24-year-old Thomas Pendolino, was rushed to the hospital with serious but not life-threatening injuries.
Ray has been charged with Driving While Ability Impaired and will be arraigned at a later date.
