A baby Jesus statue was stolen from an East Islip church.
Police say an unknown person or persons stole the statue from a Nativity scene in front of St. Mary's Church on West Main Street between Dec. 25 at 1:15 p.m. and Dec. 26 at 9 a.m.
Detectives are asking anyone with information to call the Hate Crimes Unit at 631-852-6181
