Police say 25-year-old Mathew Verdosa, of Coram, has been arrested for over 40 charges.

Suffolk County police got word that the wanted man could be at the Midway Motel in Patchogue. They say that's when they caught him walking out of the building. After a short chase, an officer was able to place Verdosa into custody.

Verdosa has 43 charges against him including burglary, grand larceny and criminal possession. He currently has 33 active warrants against him.

Verdosa is expected to be arraigned in court in Central Islip.
