Police: 3 suspects arrested on multiple charges in Kings Plaza Mall shooting

Three young adults were arrested after a shooting incident at Kings Plaza Mall left two minors with gunshot wounds to their legs.

A shooting at Kings Plaza Mall incident sent the shopping center into commotion Monday afternoon.
News 12 Chopper video shows panicked shoppers outside of the mall after they were evacuated due to the shooting that took place around 2:30 p.m.
Exclusive surveillance video shows the moments police took three people into custody just blocks from Kings Plaza Mall.
All three suspects face multiple charges. Two of those arrested, 19-year-old Jaheim Covington and 18-year-old Omarion Harvey, are Brooklyn residents. The third arrested suspect, 19-year-old Timothy Briggs, is a Bronx resident.
Police say all three were taken into custody a few blocks from the mall where police also found two firearms.
Officers who arrived at the scene said a 14-year-old boy had a gunshot wound to his knee and was found by police across the street from the mall. He was rushed to the hospital. News 12 is told that a 16-year-old suffered a graze wound to his leg. Both are expected to survive.
Officials say this took place between two groups inside of a sneaker store in the mall. It is unknown as of now if Kings Plaza Mall will be open to the public today.
