Police say two women are recovering this morning after being burned by fireworks at a Fourth of July party.

Police were called to a home on Morton Street in Port Jefferson Station around 9:30 p.m.

According to police, they found two women, a 44-year-old and a 45-year-old with minor leg injuries.

It's not clear exactly how it happened.
