Police: 2 Suffolk stores robbed within an hour of each other

Police say two Suffolk stores were robbed within an hour of each other.
According to police, two men demanded cash from an employee at the counter of the Circle C convenience store on Middle Country Road in Selden around 9:30 p. Monday.
Police say one of the men had a gun. The men stole a large number of cigars and ran off. No one was hurt.
Police say about 40 minutes earlier, a man held up the Carvel on Middle County Road in Middle Island. That suspect also demanded cash and ran off. No one was hurt.
Police do not believe the robberies are connected.
