3ds agoPolice say two people are facing charges for allegedly assaulting a pair of first responders in Valley Stream.
Police say they went to a home in Valley Stream for a welfare check.
Officers say 43-year-old Brigitte Attapoku required medical treatment.
News 12 has been told she then became violent, attacking an officer and biting a Nassau County police medic.
Police say her son, Manai Frank, 23, then pushed the medic.
The officer and the medic were hospitalized.
