Two large gas grills valued at $15,000 were stolen from Aitoros Appliance in Norwalk Monday morning, police say.
The grills had been on order for more than six months and were being prepared to go onto the showroom floor when the thieves allegedly struck.
Security photos captured photos of the truck and a person wearing a red.
The grills were in the process of being assembled when they were stolen.
The owner says it will take months to replace the grills due to the supply chain slow down.
"When somebody steals from you this time of year it rips your heart out," said Tony Aitoro. "That's what it did, it ripped my heart out. We are just not that way, we are a family business."
Aitoro said he hopes the grills are found intact, but he suspects they have already been sold for scraps.
Police say the culprit used a dump truck to get away. .
