Police say two men were killed in a single-car crash in Holbrook early Saturday morning.
The crash happened on Union Avenue. Suffolk police say a Honda vehicle driven by 35-year-old Jankel Lenin Nolasco Lemus, of Brentwood, left the roadway near Maple Avenue and struck a pole at around 3:45 a.m.
Lemus was pronounced dead at the scene.
Lemus' passenger, identified as 24-year-old Denis Humberto Delcid Cerrato, of Ronkonkoma, was taken to Stony Brook University Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Police say they believe speed and weather conditions were factors in the crash.
Detectives are asking anyone with information on the crash to call the Sixth Squad at 631-854-8652.
