Eastbound lanes from New Hyde Park Road to Searingtown Road were closed for hours. All eastbound lanes have since reopened.
Tow trucks spent part of the morning moving the truck from the overpass and even removing the meat from the back of it.
Footage from Chopper 12 showed the lengthy backup caused by the incident on the eastbound side of the LIE.
