Police say two suspects were arrested for robbing a cellphone store in Hempstead, but a third suspect remains at large.
Detectives say the three suspects entered the Cricket Wireless Store on Main Street before 7 p.m. Friday and snatched several cellphones, costing a total of $9,000. The suspects then fled the scene on foot.
Police say they later found 19-year-old Naire Johnson and 48-year-old Kamorie Edwards attempting to sell the stolen cell phones on Franklin Street. They were both arrested.
Police have been unable to locate the third suspect.
