Police: 14-year-old e-bike rider seriously injured in Kings Park crash

A 14-year-old e-bike rider was seriously injured in a crash Tuesday in Kings Park, police say.
It happened around 3:45 p.m. when 23-year-old Christopher Byrne was turning onto the eastbound lane of Pulaski Road. The vehicle struck a westbound e-bike being operated by Ezra Ama, of Kings Park.
Ama was transported to Stony Brook University Hospital for treatment of serious injuries.
Byrne was not injured.
