Police say a 14-year-old is in critical condition after getting hit by a car while rollerblading in Lake Ronkonkoma.

According to authorities, a woman was driving a Volkswagen SUV on Smith Road near Cenacle Road Thursday when she allegedly struck the boy.

The boy suffers from serious injuries.

The driver stayed on the scene.
