Police: 1 injured in Elmont house fire

Police are investigating what caused a house fire in Elmont on Sunday.
News 12 has been told a two-alarm blaze broke out around 1 p.m. on the second floor of a home on Schenck Boulevard.
Firefighters were able to get the fire under control in 20 minutes.
One person was found injured in the basement of the home.
They were taken to a nearby emergency center for treatment.
