WEATHER TO WATCH: Showers for Friday morning with a midday break and some storms firing up in the afternoon. Biggest threat with storms will be locally heavy rainfall and some street flooding.
WATER QUALITY REPORT: Water quality on Long Island continues to decline with recent heavy rain and warmer than average water temperatures
DROUGHT MONITOR: Conditions are improving after some recent heavy rainfall. Islip Airport has 6.41" of rain so far this month.
MARINE: Low risk of rip currents and no advisories for boaters heading into the weekend.
