Police say a Plainview man is accused of touching himself in front of a high school student.
According to police, a Huntington High School student was walking to her car on Oakwood Road Thursday when Eric Lombardi parked his SUV next to her.
Police say the teen saw Lombardi, 44, performing a lewd act.
Lombardi drove off when the teen threatened to call police. He was arrested at his home on Sunday.
The district superintendent says security guards regularly patrol the area where the incident happened and have been on high alert since last Thursday. He says parents were alerted by phone calls, emails and text alerts within an hour after the student reported the crime.
Lombardi was charged with public lewdness and was released following his arraignment in Central Islip Monday. He is due back in court July 12.
