The rendering of a permanent Sept. 11 memorial monument will be revealed at this year's Point Lookout ceremony.
The Town of Hempstead holds the largest interactive remembrance ceremony every year on Long Island.
This year's sunrise service will feature two 15-foot tribute towers, a 35-foot long mural of the city skyline and a reflecting pool.
Town of Hempstead Supervisor Anthony Santino said, "It will be dedicated to preserving the legacy to the heroes of 9/11."
