A pedestrian died Sunday after being hit by a driver in Dix Hills.
The incident happened around 6:30 a.m. on Deer Park Avenue.
Police say the victim, who has not been identified, was struck by a Lincoln near MacNeice Place.
The victim was rushed to a nearby hospital, but doctors could not save the person.
The 54-year-old driver stayed at the scene and was not injured.
