The Long Island Rail Road has restored train service using both tracks on the Babylon Branch with residual delays of at least 30 minutes. Some Babylon Branch trains are canceled.
Train service was suspended earlier Friday after a pedestrian was struck and killed west of Rockville Centre. Authorities were investigating the incident, which occurred around 5:18 a.m., LIRR spokesman Bob Brennan said. Some Montauk Branch trains will be diverted to the Main Line west of Babylon through Hicksville.
