Suffolk County officials say the Patchogue Theatre for the Performing Arts is finally having its funding restored, using money from the American Rescue Plan.
The federal government has made approximately $286 million available to services in Suffolk County over two years.
These funds are to be used to respond to the COVID-19 emergency and subsequent economic fallout for nonprofits, small business and other services.
Patchogue Theatre Executive Director Michele Rizzo-Benz says they are excited to open but they want to make sure they do it safely so they aren't rushing.
