Part of LIE to be shut down for accident reconstruction

Eastbound lanes will be shut down on a stretch of the Long Island Expressway in Nassau Sunday morning.
Police will be conducting an accident reconstruction from 7 a.m. until 10 a.m. on Sunday, Oct. 4.
During that time, eastbound lanes will be closed between exit 46 for Sunnyside Boulevard and Exit 48 for Round Swamp Road.
All eastbound traffic will be diverted onto the service road during that time, police say.
Drivers are urged to consider alternate routes.
