More than 100 people signed up to get their first dose of the Pfizer vaccine Wednesday in Brentwood as part of a pop-up vaccination party.
A Hispanic law firm donated the vaccines and administered them with the help of a local doctor.
"I come from an immigrant family. I know the opportunities that were afforded my grandparents," says William Ferro, of Ferro, Kuba, Mangano and Liga de Justicia. "These folks are looking for that same opportunity and it's important for the entire community if we are ever going to achieve herd immunity is to look at every portion of the community."
Those who got the shot were treated to DJ music, food and giveaways.
Ferro says he believes many of the people who attended wouldn't have gotten the vaccine if it wasn't for the event.
