Twelve people were rescued Saturday afternoon from a sinking boat in Jones Inlet.
Officials say water rescue units were able to get them back to shore safely.
A fire department official told News 12 that multiple ambulances were on the scene as a precaution. There were no injuries.
“We really appreciate all the fire departments and the assistance from our colleagues,” said David Neubert, the Point Lookout-Lido Fire Department medical chief. “It was a lot of resources, and no one hurt and that's the way we like it."
Two dogs were among those rescued.
