An Oceanside couple say they were expecting to receive a toy for their grandchild in the mail, but they received a rifle instead.
According to the grandfather, the UPS dropped off a 50-caliber rifle at an Oceanside home on Wednesday.
The package was addressed to the grandfather, who tells News 12 he never ordered a rifle.
Nassau police say the package was meant for an upstate resident.
Officials are working to deliver the package to its buyer.
