An NYPD sergeant is facing murder charges in connection to the death of a Bronx woman in October.
Police say when Sgt. Hugh Barry showed up at the Bronx home of Deborah Danner, she threatened him with a baseball bat. They say she was emotionally disturbed.
Authorities say instead of using his stun gun, Sgt. Barry shot and killed the woman.
The New York City Sergeants Benevolent Association says it's outraged by the charges, saying Sgt. Barry acted appropriately.
