A man was killed during an officer-involved shooting Saturday in Throgs Neck.
Police say an employee at a 7-Eleven on East Tremont Avenue went to the 45 Precinct to get an officer after a man in his 30s entered the store, began pacing around, approaching the counter and then pacing again.
Upon arrival, the officer asked the suspect to remove his hands from his pocket. After numerous requests, he pulled out a knife and lunged at the officer.
The officer shot him one time in the stomach. The suspect was taken to a hospital, where he was shortly pronounced dead.
