NYPD: 13-year-old boy slashed in Bed-Stuy; suspect sought

Police say a 13-year-old boy was slashed in his left shoulder Saturday night in Bedford-Stuyvesant.

It happened on Lafayette Avenue and Malcolm X Boulevard around 9 p.m.

The NYPD says the male suspect used a knife, but officers did not recover the weapon on scene. The suspect, who ran from the scene, was described as having braids and wearing a white T-shirt and ripped jeans.

The 13-year-old boy is expected to be OK. No arrests have been made.
