Authorities say a 30-year-old was shot in the chest and a 42-year-old was shot in the leg Saturday night in Mott Haven.

A man was killed and a woman was injured in a shooting Saturday night in Mott Haven, according to police.

Authorities say a 30-year-old man was shot in the chest and a 42-year-old woman was shot in the leg around 8:30 p.m. on 224 Willis Ave.

Both were hospitalized, but the 30-year-old man was pronounced dead. The 42-year-old woman is expected to be OK.

Police say the 30-year-old man ran into a bodega for help following the shooting. Candles were lit in front of the bodega on Sunday morning.

Police did not release any details regarding about suspects. Anyone with information is urged to call police.
