A preliminary report by the National Transportation Safety Board was released Thursday regarding a Long Island bound private jet that crashed in Virginia earlier this month.
The NTSB report found that the unresponsive Cessna entered a "near vertical descent at high velocity" before bursting into flames.
The plane veered off course over Washington D.C. after turning around near Long Island.
Four people on board were killed.
