The North Shore took more of a hit from Saturday's wintry storm than communities did along the South Shore, but residents took it in stride.
More snow accumulations were totaled along the North Shore in communities like Port Washington.
Many residents north of the Long Island Expressway spent the day shoveling, shopping and navigating the messy roads.
Drivers were urged to use caution on the roads into Sunday.
