A nonprofit and Patchogue restaurant teamed up for the fifth straight year to provide free Thanksgiving meals to those in need ahead of the holiday.
HarmonyCafe and Toast Coffeehouse hosted the “Harmony Toast-giving free Thanksgiving dinner" on Tuesday.
"We're all about gifts and all about, you know, what you can get and what's the next biggest thing,” said Toast Coffeehouse director of operations Melissa Reinheimer. “So like, it
feels really good to have the opportunity to give and not necessarily receive anything for it other than to just see someone smile and enjoy a hot meal."
Live music with dinner for guests were also part of the event.
