The state Liquor Authority is revising its guidelines for restaurants and bars that want to sell alcohol.
The state law says customers can't just drink at a bar or restaurant - food must be served as well.
In response, some local businesses came up with a "dollar menu" that features fries and chips.
But now, the state Liquor Authority is clarifying saying the food served must be substantial.
Sandwiches, soups, wings, or hot dogs are fine, but chips, nuts, candy or similar items are not.
