Members of the New York Islanders scored big for sick children in some Long Island hospitals.

The team held its annual toy shopping spree at the Toys 'R Us in Carle Place. Team Capitan John Tavares, Kevin Poulin and Matt Carkner were among the players shopping for the children. Carkner even brought his two sons to help pick out the cool toys.

"[It's] always a special time of year to give back to some kids going through tough times and could use something special," says Tavares.

Toys on this year's list included Cookie Monster, legos, Waldo and, of course, dolls.
