Nesconset student wins LI regional spelling bee

A student at a Nesconset middle school has won Long Island's Regional Spelling Bee.  Jhanvi Ravishankar is an 8th grader at Great Hollow Middle School and won the Hofstra Long Island Regional Spelling

A student at a Nesconset middle school has won Long Island's Regional Spelling Bee. 
Jhanvi Ravishankar is an 8th grader at Great Hollow Middle School and won the Hofstra Long Island Regional Spelling Bee.
Jhanvi will go on to represent Long Island in the Scripps National Spelling Bee in Washington, D.C. in May. 
She correctly spelled "rorqual."
