A new survey released today reveals that employers nationwide plan to hire more next quarter.

A national employment outlook survey found that 22 percent of employers plan to add staff in the third quarter, which begins next month. That's the highest percentage of U.S. employers planning to hire since 2008.

The survey says that the industries hiring the most are construction, hospitality and leisure.

Dr. Marty Cantor says the report is not entirely good news. He says employers can pay less and eliminate benefits because there's a greater demand for jobs.
