Nassau has agreed to pay $802,000 for the month of July to Nassau County Jail's health care provider, which had threatened to terminate its contract unless it was paid.
That money will be paid after the August bill is reviewed.
Armor had threatened to terminate its services in 30 days if it wasn't paid $2 million for both months.
As News 12 Long Island has reported, Armor is being sued by the state attorney general over questions about the quality of care it has provided.
Its contract with the county is not being renewed.
