Convicted animal abusers will soon be banned from adopting or buying new pets in Nassau. 

Nassau County legislators are set to announce that they are working with the SPCA to form an animal abuse registry.

The registry would have information on convicted animal abusers and prevent them from adopting any more animals from county shelters. 

Nassau pet stores will also be forbidden from letting those abusers purchase any more animals.

I haven't heard that. I had a great grandmother. Yeah, Pepsi and peanuts and eat what you want and be happy and enjoy the weather. That's right and get outside and eat outside. Tomorrow. Tomorrow is going to be a beautiful day. I see the headline right there. I know after a cold spell we have a nice little warm up ahead even through the weekend. And this weekend it will be the unofficial start to winter. It's meteorological winter which begins on December 1st. So, uh winter is right around the corner here. We are also tracking a couple of rain showers. First batch will come in Friday then late Sunday and early next week. So the weather is turning a little bit unsettled as we get out of this cold spell tomorrow morning, it is calm and cold 29 degrees, but we are getting up to 48 in the afternoon. It's a pretty big difference and you'll feel it. It's going to be just a beautiful day and that sunshine is going to be great, mostly clear right now. No problems around just zooming out to show you the big picture. We don't have any big storms coming, there is an area of low pressure all the way down by Texas and that's going to head our way into the weekend and that will bring us some of those showers. So tonight, mostly clear at 6 a.m. 30 Glen Cove 26 in Hampton Bays. There's the forties in the afternoon, so it is going to feel warmer. It's a seasonable beautiful day. A little bit of a late day breeze out of the Southwest Friday morning does start off with some sunshine, but the clouds will be moving in ahead of a front and rain will get here late in the day. After four o'clock, we have just a couple of light scattered. It doesn't really look like we're going to get much from this front and it is going to move through quickly. So by midnight, the rain is gone and it's a dry start to the weekend. We noticed some extra clouds around Saturday before showers return late Sunday. So there is that showery weather and some of the rain could last through Monday. It gets breezy after that. A little bit cooler and a dry stretch ahead as we head into the start of Hanukkah. Looks great sunshine with daytime highs in the forties. All right, Sam, thanks.
